Finally, a documentary about those legendary Woodstock recording sessions between Bob Dylan and The Band that brought us The Basement Tapes.

Down in the Flood, out Sept. 25 on DVD, follows the story of the relationship between Dylan and the Band, starting with Dylan’s first electric world tour in 1966, when he was backed by a little-known Canadian band called The Hawks. Featuring rare footage and photographs, the film will show the growth of the legendary acts and the events that led up to the Hawks becoming known simply as “The Band.”

The documentary includes exclusive interviews with Garth Hudson; the Hawks’ mentor, Ronnie Hawkins; tour drummer Mickey Jones; producer John Simon; Dylan guitarist Charlie McCoy; and many others are also included.
