The Castaway Players Theatre Company is enthused to announce their long-awaited revival of the rock musical, "HAIR". All audition information is posted below.

AUDITION DATE: SATURDAY, JULY 21st, 2012 - 7 PM -
At Cornell St. Studios, 168 Cornell St., Kingston, NY, 12401
AUDITION INFO:
Please prepare a brief up-tempo pop or rock song, preferably from the 1960s/70s, or a selection from "HAIR". These are suggestions, not requirements. Above all else, it is NOT recommended to learn something specifically for this audition - please sing something you are very comfortable with. Bring sheet music in the correct key or an accompaniment CD. A Cappella is accepted, but not recommended. If you have not performed with Castaway before, please bring a headshot and resume. You may be asked to read from the script, or learn a section of a song. Dance callbacks will be later that evening. Although you should please bring clothes you feel comfortable dancing in (no skirts!), the dance callback itself will be unconventional.

Nudity is not a requirement for this production.
LOOKING FOR A TRIBE composed of unique, high energy young people with outstanding personalities, zero ego, strong singing voices who can share their soul with an audience. Loads of theatrical experience not necessarily a necessity...just looking for raw, exciting, uninhibited talent. We are looking for as many different physical types as possible as well.
REHEARSAL/ PERFORMANCE INFO: Rehearsals would begin in mid-late August - *6-8 HOUR INTENSIVES - ONLY ONCE A WEEK - ON THE WEEKENDS*. Performance dates are November 2-4 at The Colony Cafe in Woodstock with possible extention.
Rehearsals would be in Saugerties, Kingston, and Woodstock.
